An Illinois lawmaker has introduced a bill that would force some grocers and gas stations to hire armed guards.

The Armed Security Protection act introduced by Representative Thaddeus Jones Democrat from Calumet City. The Bill would only apply to Municipalities with more then 2 Million Residents. The previous version of the bill didn’t make it. If the new bill passes, It will be law by July 2024. Referenced from Fox 32 Chicago 2/6/23
